​What is a group for children and adolescents?

A therapeutic group is a safe environment where children and adolescents can try out new ways of behaving and experience how their actions affect others. It also offers a space for a deeper understanding of themselves and their own experiences.

Under the guidance of experienced therapists, the group becomes a place of safety - children and adolescents learn their own path, how to experiment and find new ways to build relationships.

The group supports the development of contact and social skills. It helps children and adolescents who have difficulty engaging with peers, and teaches them to better understand themselves and others.

We offer the following types of groups for you:

for children of younger school age to strengthen and practice socio-emotional competencies

for adolescents of different age groups

Depending on the specific focus, a group can be useful for children and adolescents…

who have difficulty making friends

who are insecure or impulsive

who feel lonely or excluded from the group

who have problems with self-esteem

who do not understand their emotions and/or have difficulty regulating them

who often experience feelings of fear or sadness

What children and adolescents can take away from group therapy:

the experience that they are not alone in their difficulties and that others are also dealing with similar things

a feeling of acceptance and safety in a group of peers

new ways to establish and maintain relationships

better understanding of their emotions and the opportunity to share them with others

training skills to manage conflicts, fear or anger
