Psychological examination

Clinical psychological examination is a key tool for assessing the mental state and overall psychological condition of the patient. It serves to accurately diagnose and set further care.

The examination is most often recommended by a doctor, such as a general practitioner, psychiatrist or neurologist, and serves to accurately diagnose and set further care.

Psychological examination of an adult

During a clinical psychological examination, a number of diagnostic tools and methods (questionnaires, psychological tests) can be used, the basis is a clinical interview and assessment by a clinical psychologist.

The goal is

to provide the referring physician with a comprehensive view of the patient's psychological functions, including their emotional state, thought processes, behavior, and social interactions.

The results of this examination allow the referring physician to better understand the patient's condition and accordingly adjust the treatment plan or recommend further care, which may include psychotherapy, medication, or referral to other specialists.

Please bring all available documentation from previous examinations (psychological, psychiatric, or relevant examinations by other doctors) to the examination, as well as any summaries of previous psychotherapeutic care, or discharge reports from hospitalizations.

***Psychological examinations in our clinic are covered by health insurance and are therefore primarily intended for medical purposes, not for the patient's personal development.

Examinations performed

In our facility, we perform clinical-psychological, neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental examinations, which cover a wide range of mental disorders in both children and young and older adults.

These examinations include the diagnosis and assessment of incipient (beginning) states of mental illness in childhood, adolescence and old age.

They are key for differential diagnosis, i.e. distinguishing one mental disorder from another.

From specialized areas, we offer examinations for people with gender dysphoria in all phases of considered treatment.

It is important to emphasize that in our facility we do not perform traffic-psychological examinations and examinations of applicants for a firearms license.
