It is not always appropriate or possible to solve insomnia problems with long-term therapy. Some clients prefer a short-term form of cooperation, sometimes the situation itself may require it. That is why we offer the course Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for insomnia, focused on solving specific symptoms of insomnia. Not only our rich experience confirms the CBT approach to treating insomnia as a functional tool. At the same time, we realize that it is necessary to pass on the method, because the number of clients with sleep problems is constantly increasing. So now we are offering it to you, other experts, to guide you through the method and teach you correctly so that you can use it independently.

COURSE CONTENT

The goal of the course is to familiarize participants with the diagnosis of non-organic insomnia, to distinguish it from other sleep disorders, and to master the basics of a possible approach to non-drug therapy. The course introduces the principles of behavioral work with a sleep calendar (recording sleep in a calendar, calculating sleep efficiency, setting an appropriate sleep restriction) and the main pillars of sleep hygiene. An integral part is an introduction to cognitive work with automatic negative thoughts that keep sleep problems at bay. Participants will also learn to apply well-known relaxation techniques to the specific problem of insomnia. The supervision meeting will be dedicated not only to model cases from practice, but also to case studies of course participants.

After completing the course, participants will be able to work independently with the CBT method and help their clients with insomnia very effectively.
