In our webinar, we will focus on myths that psychiatrists encounter and that are in general awareness. Our psychiatrist will set the facts about the use of psychotropic drugs straight.

COURSE LECTURER
MUDr. Veronika THOMPSON
Veronika is a graduate of the field of general medicine at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. She obtained her specialized qualification in psychiatry in 2022. She worked at the Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital, where she mainly focused on acute care. At the same time, she was a member of the forensic multidisciplinary team. She actively participated in the reform of psychiatric care, especially in the area of financing acute care. She trained doctors across the Czech Republic in the DRG classification system. She worked at the KAPPA Outpatient Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Clinic for almost three years. She completed the Complete Crisis Intervention Course under the auspices of the Déčko Liberec z.s. organization. Veronika also completed the one-year Integrative Psychotherapy course lectured by PhDr. Magdalena Frouzová. She is currently a participant in Psychotherapeutic Training in Logotherapy and Existential Analysis. She worked at the Institute of Neuropsychiatric Care from 2021 to January 2024, focusing primarily on the diagnosis and therapy of anxiety, mood disorders, and stress-induced disorders.
