Are you a professional who works with clients affected by the topic of digital technologies? Would you need to clarify for yourself when the use of technology is still okay and when the client is already addicted? And when can you still help him yourself and when does he need to be referred to a specialized workplace? And what services actually exist for clients?

The course is oriented towards presenting the development of the issue of digital addictions, introducing participants to basic concepts and statistics. Participants will be introduced to the more complex question of what addiction is and what it is not. They will be introduced to the norm of how much screen time is okay and how much is not. During the course, participants will be introduced to specific phenomena related to digital addictions. They will be introduced to the phenomenon of abstinence. The course will also offer basic principles of working with motivation, setting rules when using digital devices, and specific advice on what to consider when intervening with a client. Participants will be introduced to a map of help in the area of ​​addiction.

WHO IS THE COURSE INTENDED FOR

The course is intended for professionals in the fields of psychology, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, social work, addiction, medicine, etc., who

in their work encounter clients at risk of addiction to digital technologies.

COURSE LECTURER

Mgr. Josef Krejčí

He graduated in psychology and special education (Pedagogy Faculty, Charles University), addictionology (First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University) and has been working as an assistant professor at the Department of Psychology (Pedagogy Faculty, Charles University) since 2016. He began to gain his first experience in 2007, and since 2014, he has been working mainly in the field of psychotherapy and social addiction services. He deals with the topic of digital addiction in his practice and research, and you can expect this special mix of textbook facts and real-life stories in our course.
