Are you a professional who works with clients who experience anxiety? Would you like to have the tools to work effectively with anxiety? Would you like to know how to prevent anxiety states? And would you like to have guidelines for when you know that a client needs to be referred to other professionals? We invite you to our eight-hour course, where we will address anxiety in its theory and practice.

COURSE CONTENT:

understanding the symptom of anxiety: the most common causes, triggers and manifestations of anxiety

identifying ineffective strategies

practicing specific techniques to reduce anxiety

how to work with the motivation of anxious clients

possibilities for preventing the onset of anxiety

when it is time to visit a psychologist/psychiatrist

WHO IS THE COURSE INTENDED FOR:

The course is intended for professionals in the field of psychotherapy, psychology, crisis intervention, social work, pedagogy or others where you come into contact with clients in states of anxiety.

COURSE LECTURERS

Mgr. Kateřina Štočková Vavrošová

 

She graduated in single-discipline psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University and is a graduate of psychotherapeutic training in Gestalt therapy. Since 2013, she has been working at the Safety Line as a crisis interventionist, shift leader and lecturer. For several years, she has been working on the topic of domestic violence in proFem organizations and in the Kladno Intervention Center, where she worked as a child psychologist. Since 2020, she has been developing her private practice in the Hladina psychotherapy center, where she focuses on psychological work with children and adults. She has appeared in the podcasts Na tenké Lince and the Czech Radio podcast Polštář. Her professional interests include working with anxiety and treating trauma.

Mgr. et Mgr. Karel Straka

He studied single-subject psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and is a frequent participant in the psychotherapeutic training Integration in Psychotherapy. He gained work experience at the Safety Line, where he started as a crisis interventionist and later as a shift leader and lecturer. At the National Institute of Mental Health, he was part of the early psychological support team for clients with psychotic and other mental disorders. Since 2021, she has been working at the Hladina Center, where she provides psychological counseling to adult clients. In her therapeutic practice, she focuses mainly on working with anxiety, stress, and self-esteem.
