COURSE CONTENT

​The course is aimed at educational staff and its time allocation is 16 hours. The course is primarily aimed at introducing teachers, school psychologists, educational counselors, prevention methodologists and other educational staff to the procedures for working with pupils from the 2nd grade of elementary school and students with psychological difficulties, with an emphasis on their functioning in the school environment. In the course, participants will learn about the basic classification of psychiatric illnesses, and will become familiar with the relationship between developmental difficulties and psychiatric illnesses. The course also focuses on the main symptoms of problems and changes in behavior in pupils and students, including possible ways for the school to resolve the situation. The course also includes a discussion of the current situation in the field of mental health in children, from the perspective of a teacher, child psychologist and child psychiatrist.
